@ Don’t Ask Me ….. I Don’t Know : In the 1970s and ’80s Moose played with the guitarists Jimmy Dawkins, Mighty Joe Young, Son Seals and, of course, Johnny Littlejohn, with whom he shared fifty years of history since their childhood in Mississippi.
@ Bluestownm :The departed Johnny “Big Moose” Walker was a Korea veteran, and Earl Hooker was his closest music partner. “Would You, Baby?” features classic Chicago blues piano performed like few before or after Walker.
@ BThe Guardian : As it happened, Walker and Spann were good friends who often hung out together, and Walker’s laidback singing is sometimes reminiscent of Spann’s smoky manner. One night during a Muddy Waters tour, the two men found themselves in a hotel lobby with a couple of grand pianos and played duets for several hours.
@ All About Jazz :When Moose had his own gigs, he usually worked solo, or with just his drummer, Chris Moss. The duo once played bump-and-grind organ music for go-go dancers at sleazy Near North Side Joints.
