@ Nothing Is v2.0 : There is nothing that could have prepared those who knew of Steve Williamson only from his first album, A Waltz for Grace, for what awaited them upon dropping Journey to Truth into the CD player. The cover photo and CD graphics should be a dead giveaway that this cat was up to something different - from the pix of Williamson that harken back to the early 1970s to the hip-hop flavored graphics - this was not going to be a collection of post bop numbers.
@ Julian Joseph :In recent years, Steve moved towards the underground Drum and Bass scene and the folk music of different cultures, making only rare appearances with Robert Mitchell and a few others, but he now makes a welcome return, taking centre stage with Julian Joseph, continuing an association that spans over two decades.
@ BWikipedia : At the Nelson Mandela’ birthday open air festival 1988 Steve Williamson played with Courtney Pine in the Wembley Stadium and afterwards with Art Blakey at Ronnie Scott’s.
